Moving is a tedious job and there is a lot to arrange and sort out. Though the time is exciting there is a lot of work involved. Though you have to get through the packing and moving there is still the chore of unpacking at the new address. Don’t let this spoil the excitement of moving just look at it as the last part of the job. If you can get friends and family to help this will get it done quicker. Moving doesn’t have to be a monotonous job enjoy the process and take your time to arrange everything so it goes like clockwork. You can also hire removal companies to unpack for you. Depending on your budget this can be a useful service like having them pack in the first place!Alternatively just grit your teeth and start unpacking yourself as you know you are going to need to be sorted sooner or later. Leaving it isn’t an option, just get it sorted straight away. First if you have labelled   everything before you moved then it should all be in a neat order then when you arrive at your new place you can easily sort through the boxes and find the most important ones to unpack first. Less important stuff can wait; find the essential things you need first. Unpacking is hard work as your new place may not be set out like your old address. You may need to make alterations and that can mean waiting for trade’s people to sort certain requirements out. Just get what you need unpacked first. Start with rooms that you are going to use first, such as kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. This means that you can do some of the unpacking each day. First find necessities such as kitchen utensils, pots and pans, bathroom essentials and towels and bedding. Big items will need to be unpacked as it is easier and it will make more room. Furniture is big and bulky and can be placed instantly in a room, so is easy to unpack. Sofa, beds, table and chairs are reasonably easy to assemble together and placed where you want in your new home. Unpacking the contents of your home is a big job like packing was in the initial stages. Set yourself a goal and work towards it. You don’t want to be living with boxes around you for weeks trying to aim to get it done within a couple of days. Get other members of the family to help. Kids can do their own rooms, if they are old enough. It will help them learn to help and be part of a team. It can be turned into a game like a race in a way and the job will get done quickly. Promise a goal such as a prize from a meal out, shopping trip or a day out at some place special that you know the kids are going to enjoy. After all if you get the unpacking done quickly it’s worth a small outlay. There is likely to be lots of packing supplies and materials. Dump what you can and recycle boxes and cardboard. If you have friends on the move you could help them and give them your used boxes that are still in good condition. Reusing these items is a good way to helping the environment. Just make sure they are in good order as you don’t want damaged goods or breakages. Unpacking will leave lots of bubble wrap newspaper and other materials make sure you dispose of carefully.
